How To Join

There are no requirements for membership other than to send a $10.00 annual fee to the Flagstaff Hiking Club, and you will then be put on the e-mail list for our schedule. Please make your checks payable to Flagstaff Hiking Club. Please visit the How To Contact page for more information.

We encourage you to get in touch with the Hike Leader for each hike, particularly for new members. Please try and do this before showing up for a hike. Please note: The terms easy, moderate, and strenuous used to describe hikes refer to experienced club hikers. Hikes rated moderate may be strenuous for novice hikers or for those unaccustomed to altitude. Please call the contact person for the hike you are interested in for more information before arriving for the hike.

High country hikes (hikes in and around Flagstaff) are often changed, postponed, or canceled due to weather. Be prepared for weather changes. Call the contact person to confirm plans.

Suggestions for New Hikers: We recommend that any potential hikers be in good physical condition for hiking. Also reccomended is that you bring your own trail lunch and plenty of water. You may not get home at the designated time, and most members of the Hiking Club carpool and split gas money.
